Julia Sampson
Julia (Jools) discovered the healing potential of
massage and the importance of her own health and well-being during
her long and challenging development work overseas.
The healing powers of human touch and regular treatments
from her teacher helped her to turn around her own
emotional and physical health. This journey led her
to want to learn more about this art and share the
benefits with others. Having rediscovered her self the
seed was in place for Reclaim Your Self.
Jools trained extensively and qualified in massage and
healing work in Tanzania and ran a successful practice
in Dar es Salaam for 2 years. She also spent time India
studying ayurvedic techniques and fine tuning her
passion and inspiration to create something to share
with others. She returned to London in 2004 to launch
Reclaim Your Self.
As the director of Reclaim Your Self, it is Jools's
dream to offer high quality, creative and practical
retreats and events accessible to anyone at whatever
stage of their journey they are on. Her intention is to
increase a sense of well-being in the Self, whether you
are in an office or in an exotic location on
retreat.
The dream is well on the way to becoming a reality.
Helen Noakes
In 1993 Helen travelled to India, her mission was to dip
into a spiritual adventure and train in chavutti
thirumal/Indian rope massage. She returned home and
began to grow her own business in Brighton. Her
inspiration began to deepen as she became involved with
natural bodies yoga centre, training with Gary Carter
for two years in the spirit of Vandha Scaravelli to
become a yoga teacher. She became more influenced by
structural integration and unusual forms of body work so
she trained in Jing massage, holistic medical massage
and hot stone fusion.
She now enjoys a successful practice in Brighton and
London and teaches at the Brahmani Yoga Centre in Goa
every winter. Her belief is that using the quality and
gifts of the breath, yoga postures and receiving
massage, we can take responsibility for our own healing
and well being.
Lizzie Jones
Lizzie has channelled her life-long passion for food and
her taste for healthy eating into a practitioners'
course in Natural Nutrition. For Lizzie, Natural
Nutrition is much more than a vocation; it's a way of
life. Extensive travels around the world and a natural
sense of curiosity contributed to a vast knowledge of
various ingredients, and have greatly enriched her
nutritional recommendations. Her extensive culinary
knowledge is of great help when designing individual
nutritional programmes to suit people's different wishes
and abilities. She strongly believes that for a
nutritional plan to work, it must be personally
tailored, practical and tasty!
Stephen Yates
As a qualified NLP practitioner and professional
trainer, Stephen has ten years of experience enabling
people to reach new goals through innovative and
exciting techniques. Using simple, down to earth
methods, Stephen helps people instigate change, identify
what they really want and map out a realistic and
achievable path to make the change happen.
The areas Stephen works on cover all areas of personal
development, career, health, habits and home life. By
focusing on what can be achieved as opposed to what you
may be avoiding, Stephen creates positive, safe and
exciting ways to implement clear action. Stephen uses a
mix of traditional coaching, NLP and alternative
approaches such as the study of language patterns and
the creation of visualisations to help others reach
their goals.
My personal motto is 'Be the person you think the world
is missing' and I really truly believe this is possible.
By looking at what is really important to you and what
is stopping you have that, I believe there is nothing
more exciting than reaching that important goal which
really means something to you, whether it be health,
physical fitness or a change in career. “Through knowing
what you dream of and understanding how to reach those
dreams, I think our own personal potential really
surprises us when we do achieve those dreams!”
Tanya Goodman
Tanya has been teaching yoga for 9 years in London
privately and in yoga centres with a humanistic
approach. Her background is in yoga therapy, pregnancy
yoga and dynamic flow with a wealth of experience from
ayurvedic yoga to Zen meditation. She mixes the needs
and mood of the individual to influence the style and
pace of each class. The outcome is a softened,
strengthened and lengthened body with a mind and soul
that feel at one with nature.
Tanya's biodynamic craniosacral therapy treatments 'are
there to get to the parts a modern day yoga practice
can't reach alone.' Through holding the body (usually at
the head, sacrum or feet) the body releases deep
holding patterns of tension created through emotional or
physical trauma. When the body is under stress it
contracts through the fight or flight response.
Craniosacral therapy soothes the nervous system and
allows space for you to relax and replenish your ability
to heal or cope better with a long term condition. A
gentle non manipulative therapy which often has a
profound effect.

Chinese acupuncture (TCM & Stems and Branches) for 13
years. He studied in Israel, India and Tibet and served
in the army as a medic as well as practising and
teaching Tai Chi and Chi Kung for many years.
In his treatments he uses a wide array of massage
techniques & manipulations along with acupuncture,
Tibetan Singing bowls and traditional medicines such as
cupping and moxibustion. Ariel's work is influenced by
Krishnamurti, John Holt and a blind Russian healer named
Naftaly, a truly beloved teacher and friend.
"At the end of day I believe that beyond all knowledge,
true healing requires mainly a sharp eye, an open heart
and a skilled hand."
